Jin Shin Do® acupressure classes teach the use of gentle yet deep finger pressure on specific acupoints to help release chronic tension and balance the body. This clothes-on method also helps relieve stress and trauma related problems. Originated by Iona Teegarden, this style of acupressure is recognized as a major form of Asian bodywork therapy by national organizations including the NCCAOM and AOBTA.
The 500-hour program is offered in Seattle, Washington on a regular basis. Acupressure can be integrated with other forms of therapy, such as physical, occupational and massage, to enhance patient treatment outcomes. Jin Shin Do® acupressure is an approved NCBTMB education provider, and continuing education hours are given for the professions listed above.
